Based on illustrations by Gustave Doré for The Legend of Croquemitaine, specifically the third book, "The Fortress of Fear".

Written in the mid 1800s by Ernest Louis Victor Jules L'Epine, it tells the story of Charlemagne's daughter, Mitaine, who has wanted to be a knight her whole life. In order to prove her worth she goes on a quest to investigate a mysterious fortress her father has heard about, but from which no one has ever returned.

Based on nothing specific

All windows are made with electrical tape, colored cellophane, and peel-and-stick window film for the solid white areas.

Steps:

  1. Measure dimensions of window and create a pattern in drawing program of your choice
  2. Draw design
  3. Create grid on window with thread to transfer design
  4. Draw design on window with paint markers. We have DecoColor Acrylic Paint markers with the chisel tip
  5. Put down black lines and fills with the electrical tape
  6. Put in colored fills with cellophane and white film. Starting with the furthest away objects in the z-axis, there's two ways you can do this.
